A Happy New Year from the RSNE team!

Happy new year to all our supporters...let's hope it is a good one for reds.


With the help of 150 people we are on with our 7th annual squirrel range monitoring across the north. Check back here in July to see results!


Reds develop a thick winter coat at this time of year. They also develop huge ear tufts, although no one really seems to know why! Perhaps it is just for cute value.

Swift Ecology Helps our Reds Again!

We would like to say a huge thank you to Swift Ecology for sending us a wonderful donation of £600 towards red squirrel conservation here in the north of England.

Spring Surveys have begun!

The work has started on our 2016 squirrel surveys! The surveys take place from March to May and this year, we are aiming to get results from over 300 tetrads throughout red squirrel
