two separate households identified and photographed the red squirrel as he ran across the visitors carpark, onto the fence and into a part of conservation area where it has been spotted in the trees. Unfortunately NCC have allowed heavy vehicles to use this area against our understanding as a "Compound" and I have not see the squirrel since they arrived at the end of September. This makes a mockery of the law and in particular the protected species act.
